Equipment

Players must supply their own groin protector (i.e. a box). The club cannot supply these.
The next important item is a helmet. While helmets may be shared, individual helmets reduce the transfer of head lice.

The Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 teams will each have their own Kit Bag with an assortment of pads, gloves and helmets to be shared by players who do not have their own equipment. We cater for both left and right-handers.

Juniors can bring their own equipment if they wish.
It is presumed that Under 18 players are likely to have already purchased equipment they are happy with. However equipment may still be borrowed from team mates.

Training Wear

A white shirt with shorts/track pants and runners. A hat is also encouraged. A CDCC cap can be purchased from the club.

Match Wear

A CDCC junior playing shirt, a CDCC cap or wide-brimmed hat, long white cricket pants and runners. Sunscreen is also advised.

Buying Cricket Gear

CDCC shirts and caps can be purchased from the club. All other gear can be purchased from any sports store that caters for cricket.
Try: Saxon Sports, 4/4 New St, Frankston or chains like Sportsmart.

Fixtures

When the fixtures are released, there will be links on each of the teams’ pages.
The season usually starts mid-October.
There will be a break over Christmas and New Year from around 15th December to around 15th January.

How Can Parents Help?

It is strongly encouraged that parents are present at matches to support the juniors.

There are many ways parents can help from setting up the stumps, putting out cones, helping with drink breaks, scoring (where able), umpiring (where able) and just generally supporting the team which is greatly appreciated. The more help we get, the more excitement and fun we have!

It’s OK if you’re not familiar with cricket. You will learn along the way.

Social Activities for Juniors and Parents

The club sets up a Social Calendar and we encourage participation. Keep checking this website, Facebook and your team coach for updates.
The club also recommends parents become Social Members to take full advantage of these events.

Canteen

Our canteen will be open for the vast majority of home games.
It sells soft drink, water, lollies and hot food. Tea and coffee is also available.

Remember the whole club is staffed by volunteers so you will always be welcome if you would like to lend a hand.
